Terms of use

By using AI Prompt Checker you agree to what follows. It is short, because the site does very little to you and asks very little of you.

The service

AI Prompt Checker is a free tool that reviews and builds prompts for AI models. There is no account, no subscription, and no payment. You may use it for anything, including commercial work.

The site is supported by advertising. That is how it stays free.

It is provided as-is

The tool is offered without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it is available, that it is correct, or that following its advice will improve any particular result.

Be clear about what the checker is: a set of heuristics, not a judgement. It detects common structural problems in prompts. It cannot understand your task, so it will sometimes flag something that is fine for your situation, and stay silent on something that is not. Its findings are worded as suggestions to consider, and that is exactly what they are.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the tool or of anything it produces.

Content you paste

You keep every right in the prompts you write. We take no licence over them, because we never receive them.

Do not paste anything genuinely confidential. We do not send your prompt anywhere — but this is a web page carrying third-party advertising code, and as with any such page you should not treat it as a secure enclave. See the privacy page, which is candid about this.

Do not paste anything you are not permitted to send to an AI provider: other people's confidential information, personal data you have no basis to process, or material you do not have the rights to.

Content produced by your own chat

If you use the hand-off to Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, that conversation is between you and them, governed by their terms. Anything they produce is subject to their terms, not ours.

You are responsible for what you do with the output. Check it before you rely on it — particularly anything a model has asserted as fact.

Advertising

Ads on this site are served by Google. We do not choose the individual ads, and their presence is not an endorsement. See the privacy page for what Google collects and how to opt out of personalisation.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, to attack it, or to interfere with the advertising. There is no user data here to steal, but the attempt would still be unwelcome.

Changes

We may change these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date below, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.
